The Jolly Elders, senior adults of the New Elm Community, met for their April meeting with a trip to the Colquitt County Historical Museum which they had not done for several years.
The group left the church for the journey to the museum, where they were given a guided tour of all the historical items. The group enjoyed viewing all the treasures and many members found items relating to their family and friends.
The trip was enjoyed by all the members and after the tour the group stopped for the evening meal at Barber’s Restaurant.
Those making the trip were Burnette Jordan, Jane Freeman, Betty Burnham, Robbie Green, Carl Bledsoe, Paul and Carolyn Voyles, Marvin and Imogene Perkins, Myrtle Thornton, Cleo Lane, and JC and Sara Goodroe.
The Jolly Elders meet the first Saturday of each month.
