The national event will be held in June in Nashville, Tenn.

Gardiner qualified for the national competition with a second place award in Networking Concepts and a third place in Network Design with team member Soosani. With an additional third place win in Computer Concepts, Soosani will also move on to the national field of competition in June.

The chapter received the Georgia PBL Bronze Chapter of Merit award in recognition of achievements throughout the 2013-2014 school terms. Only eight chapters statewide received Georgia PBL Awards of Merit this year. MTC PBL adviser Pierre Rogers noted that Ashby and Odom were directly responsible for the chapter receiving such a high honor.

“Anna provided the leadership as president throughout the 2013-2014 terms, and Donna gathered, organized and submitted all the documentation required to qualify for the Award of Merit,” said Rogers.

Ashby also completed and was recognized at the State Conference for completing the Directors Level of the PBL National Career and Membership Achievement Program.
