Rec Dept. announces egg hunt winners

The annual Easter Egg Hunt of the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department was held Saturday, April 12, with boys and girls ages 1 through 10 scouring the area for the candy and toy-filled eggs.
The softball fields at Jim Buck Goff Park were covered with 3,000 eggs for the egg hunting spree, but participants had little trouble collecting all the eggs within 15 minutes. After the eggs were gathered, drawings were held for three bicycles and six Easter baskets to be given away to children attending the annual Easter event.
Winners of the bicycles donated by Wal-Mart were Fasundra Cain in the 9 and 10 division, Shaniya Jackson in the 6 to 8 division, and Yandel Vasquez in the 5 and under division.
Six Easter baskets donated by the Shaw Gladiators were also given away in each of the three age divisions. Easter baskets winners were Taniyah Jackson and KeJavia Shingles in the 9 and 10 division, Alana Conner and Janyzi Shingles in the 6-8 division, and Sandra Ward and Jaden Jackson in the 5 and under division.
