Naked woman charged

A Moultrie woman, who reportedly undressed while walking Monday afternoon on Kendalwood Church Road, faces public indecency and other charges related to the incident.

Prior to law enforcement’s arrival, a Colquitt County Sheriff’s deputy said the woman, identified as Stephanie Rebecca Nichols, jumped in the back seat of a Colquitt County volunteer firefighter’s car.

Sheriff’s Inv. Shawn Bostick said that he first saw the woman, who was clothed at the time, walking at about 3 p.m. About two minutes later officers received a report of a woman in the area who was wearing only a G-string.

Bostick turned around and went in the opposite direction.

“I saw her jump out of the back seat of his (firefighter’s) car and she started running down the road,” he said.

Nichols appeared to be under the influence, he said.

Nichols was captured and put in a robe. When emergency medical personnel arrived she was taken by ambulance to Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

When Nichols, 29, 15 Pine Circle, was released from the hospital on Tuesday the sheriff’s office charged her with public indecency, public drunkenness and obstruction of an officer.

In other arrests:

• A 14-year-old girl was charged Tuesday with disruption of a public school, battery and battery on school personnel after she reportedly attacked a 12-year-old boy and hit a school administrator in the eye.

Sheriff’s reports said that between 8 a.m.- 9 a.m. the girl pushed a fellow student out of a chair at Colquitt County Achievement Center, 1800 Park Ave., hit him and rammed his head into a filing cabinet.

When taken the office of the principal, she reportedly hit achievement Principal Darius Dawson in the eye. The girl was restrained and law enforcement was called.

Moultrie Police

• Vickie Charlene Truesdell, 56, 348 Lakeside Circle, Sylvester, was charged Tuesday with theft by shoplifting.

She is accused of stealing merchandise valued at $46 at Wal-Mart, 641 Veterans Parkway South.

• Broderick Jerrel Blackwell, 24, 156 Church St., was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana.

• Alfredrick Bernard Green, 29, 1340 Fifth St. S.W., was charged Wednesday with public drunkenness.

Thefts

Sheriff’s Office

• Tony Reynolds, 1500 block Highway 33 South, reported Tuesday the theft of a 2013 Polaris Ranger valued at $12,536.

• Joseph Lancos, 100 block East Gate Circle, Norman Park, reported Tuesday the theft of a bull dog.

Lancos directed a deputy to the residence of Margaret Pierce in the 1000 block of Fourth Street Southwest. Pierce told police that he dog belongs to her and that a woman told her to pick up the dog at Lancos’ residence because it was being mistreated. Pierce also said that the dog’s veterinary records are in her name.

The deputy told Lancos that if he wished to pursue taking possession of the dog he would need to go through civil court.

• Shanita Williams, 200 block Farmers Market Blvd., reported Tuesday the theft of a boy’s gray Mongoose bicycle valued at $115.

Burglary

Moultrie Police

• Ellen Hawkins, Moultrie, reported Tuesday that a toilet valued at $100 was taken during a burglary of a residence in the 700 block of Ninth Avenue Southeast.

Hawkins told police that several holes in the ceilings, apparently to take out copper wire.

• Nan Wilson, 800 block Second Street Southeast, reported Wednesday that unknown property was taken in a burglary.

• Charity Sneed, 400 block 11th Court Northwest, reported Tuesday the theft of food valued at $200.

Battery

Sheriff’s Office

• Jacqueline Taylor, 2000 block Stokes Store Road, Forsyth, reported Monday that a male acquaintance pushed her and threatened her with a  hammer during an incident in the 300 block of Old Norman Park Road.

A man identified in sheriff’s reports as Taylor’s ex-boyfriend told police that a second man pushed her away from him because Taylor was “in his face” and screaming at him. Other witnesses gave the same account.

No charges were filed.

Moultrie Police

• Cynthia Olguin, 1200 block 13th Street Southwest, reported Sunday that she was the victim of an attack.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

• Paula Park, 40, Newport, N.C., reported Tuesday damage to a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta that consisted of scratches to the rear and trunk.

Fraud

Moultrie Police

• Jeffrey Hampton, 700 block 26th Avenue Southeast, reported that someone used his identity to file a fraudulent income tax return.

Hampton told police he learned of the identity theft when he contacted the Internal Revenue Service after his refund was late in arriving.

Probation violation

• Regina Ann Daniels, 21, 1040 County Line Road, Pavo.

• Carroll Ray Fender, 30, 153 Sam Harrell Road.
