- Ron Lampman.
The Moultrie Lions Club Annual Bar-B-Que will be held on Saturday, April 26, at the First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event will be held in honor of and in memory of the late Ron Lampman.
Lampman was a member of Moultrie Lions Club for 38 years. He was an educator for 37 years, and 25 of those years he taught in Colquitt County schools. He was an important member of both organizations and devoted much of his adult life to tirelessly serving his community.
As he did, Moultrie Lions Club gives back to their local community. Profits from the Annual Bar-B-Que, as well as, the football concession stand are given back.
They help to support Hope House, Serenity House, Pathway Outreach Soup Kitchen, Colquitt County Athletic Department, Colquitt County Food Bank, Most Improved Student Awards at Willie J. Williams and Charlie A. Gray schools, and The Camp For The Blind.
In addition, Moultrie Lions Club assists in providing eye glasses and hearing devices for needy individuals who qualify. The Club also supports all Lions Club International projects.
The club encourages everyone to come out to help them help their community and honor Lampman, and, in the process, get a delicious meal.
It is dine-in or carry-out and donations for tickets are $8.
Please contact any Lions Club member for tickets or contact Sam McCord at 985-2174; Peggy Tyson at 985-9661; or LeAnn Horton-Davis at 529-4157.
