The Humane Society is holding its annual Bad Dog Poker Run on Saturday to help Daisy May and other animals at its shelter. A first hand is $15 and an additional hand is $10. Sign up at its 1412 First St. N.E. shelter begins at 10 a.m., and motorcycles and cars can be entered in the poker run that will depart from the shelter and end at Margaritas Tex Mex, 525 Veterans Parkway. The event includes door prizes and raffle. All proceeds will benefit the shelter, Executive Director Don Flowers said. For more information, call (229) 985-5463. Daisy May is available for adoption, and is said to be good with children but needs to be in a home in which there are no other dogs.
