Cindy Montgomery (center) of Moultrie was one of 16 students inducted into the Rho Chi Sigma Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, an international counseling, academic and professional honor society during a ceremony held in Monday, March 31, in Smith-Bonvillian Hall on Thomas University’s Main Campus. Chi Sigma Iota’s mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, advocacy and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling. To become members, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and have completed at least 12 hours in a graduate counseling program. Montgomery is a student in the Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling degree program. She is pictured with Pauline Patrick, faculty member in the Division of Counseling and Psychology, and Dr. James Patrick, Chair of the Division.
