Acquah to bring GEOSET to next TU Science Café

Steve Acquah will be the featured speaker at Thomas University’s next Science Café on Tuesday, March 25. Acquah will talk about the Global Education for Science, Engineering and Technology, also known as GEOSET, at Florida State University. He serves as director of GEOSET.

GEOSET is an initiative to create science programs, complete with video feeds, photos, graphics and PowerPoint presentations, and to make them freely accessible via the Internet to classrooms all over the world. GEOSET fosters creatitivity while providing a few resource of education materials that use the talents of people from across the globe. This initiative uses new technology to provide outstanding science, engineering and technology teaching material,

 

Most Popular

Acquah holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Chemistry, both from the University of Sussex. In addition to his position with GEOSET, Acquah is also an associate scholar scientists in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida State University.

 

The Science Café will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall on TU’s Main Campus. Guests are invited to come early at 6 p.m. for a reception in the lobby of Smith-Bonvillian Hall. There is no charge for admission. For more information, contact April D.
