Puppet ministry to perform at First Baptist

The Puppet Ministry Team of First Baptist Church of Alma will present ‘The Backlight Extravaganza’ March 2 at First Baptist Church of Moultrie.

“The Backlight Extravaganza” is coming to Moultrie to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  It will be presented by the Puppet Ministry Team of the First Baptist Church of Alma, Ga.

The event will be hosted by First Baptist Church of Moultrie at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 2.

All ages enjoy this presentation, a press release from First Baptist Moultrie said. It features full human size puppets, drama, a light show, flags, dowel rods, and dance with musical instruments, streamers, and signs. The black light feature gives a striking effect that is very mesmerizing.

The team consists of 22 young people ages 12-17 and six leaders. They have won The People’s Choice Award several times in competitions in Florida. They have performed in many churches, schools, theaters and public auditoriums across Georgia where the audiences were filled to standing room only.

The sanctuary will open at 5:30 p.m. Come early if you want to get a good seat. There is no charge for attending but you will have the opportunity to contribute to a love offering that will be received at the end of the performance, the entirety of which will continue to support this unique team’s ministry, the church said.

“First Baptist Moultrie is delighted to be able to bring these special folks to our community,” the press release said. “We invite all of our community churches and citizens to join us for a special night of worship.”
