Rev. Norman Clary to preach Men’s Day event

Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church will be observing its Annual Men’s Day program on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m. This year’s theme, “Men Call to Action.” The guest speaker is the Rev. Norman Clary.
Clary was born in Tallahassee, Fla., to Mr. and Mrs. Lester Clary and he was educated in the Leon County School system. He is married to Evangelist Joyce Clary.
He joined the Armed Forces in 1974, from which he later retired. He attended Tallahassee Community College, where he graduated with honors He also attended the C. H. Manson Bible Institute. He is now attending Thomas University pursuing a master’s degree in society work.
He accepted his calling in the ministry in 1990 and has served as a pastor for more than 22-1/2 years. He and his wife are currently serving as the pastor and first lady of the Mt. Moriah M.B.C., which is located in Boston, Ga. He is also the moderator of the Thomasville Missionary Baptist Association.
Clary is a gospel recording artist and a well respected singer/songwriter in the local gospel music industry.
The chairpersons for the event are Deacons Johnny Ward and Curtis Mack. The Rev. J. W. Greene Jr. is the pastor.
