C.A. Gray FFA Meats Team places 5th in state

The CA Gray 8th grade FFA Meats Team recently placed 5th in the State FFA Meats Evaluation &Technology Career Development Event. The event was held at the University of Georgia.
The Meats Evaluation & Technology Career Development Event develops the abilities of students to evaluate meat animal products in order to optimize economic returns to producers and industry as well as to meet the needs of consumers. The event motivates students to become knowledgeable consumers of meat and meat animal products. Participants take a written examination, identify retail cuts and grade carcasses on quality and yield grade.
Team members were Madison Weeks, Tanner Lamb, Lee Parker and Myckinzie Cobb.
FFA is a national organization of over 449,000 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.
