Local law enforcement continues sex stings

Law enforcement efforts to target people who advertise sex for money on the Internet continued last week as police stings resulted in prostitution charges against two women.

Jamie Renae McConnell, 29, 1907 Moultrie Road, Albany, and Jasmine Marie Mosher, 21, 1022 Fifth Ave. S.W., were each charged Wednesday with prostitution.

A police officer set up meetings with the two women, who agreed to perform a specified sex act, Moultrie Police Department reports said. They were arrested when they showed up at the designated meeting spot.

• Rhonda Jean Branch, 691 U.S. Hwy. 319 N., was charged Friday with following too closely and driving while license withdrawn.

• Tracy Michelle Brown, 49, 614 Third St. S.E., was charged Saturday with criminal trespass.

• Eric Emilio Castanon, 24, 650 Willow Drive, was charged Saturday with open container in vehicle and failure to stop for stop sign.

• Rachika Maria Collins, 28, 113 Charm St., Norman Park, was charged Saturday with theft by shoplifting.

• Eric Dontae Sims, 24, 189 Serena Drive, Norman Park, was charged Sunday with loitering.

• Maranda Trim, 20, 10240 Second Ave. N.W., was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.

• Shaveka Nicole Toombs, 30, 2508 Funston-Sigsbee Road, was charged Saturday with theft by shoplifting.

• Frank Walker, 64, 513 Fifth Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with open container in vehicle, reckless driving, violation of driver’s license restrictions, improper passing, driving under the influence, duty to obey, resisting arrest, no insurance and driving while tag suspended.

• John Fitzgerald Jones Jr., 26, 3312 Old Adel Road Lot 1, was charged Thursday with possession of a Schedule II substance, illegal possession of prescription pills and transactions in drug-related communication device.

• Pablo Aguilar Velasquez, 25, 1421 Murdock St., was charged Friday with driving while license withdrawn and driving while tag suspended.

• Roberto Dimas Banchi, 33, 885 Funston-Sigsbee Road, Funston, was charged Sunday with driving without license and seat belt violation.

• Kimberly Nicole Anderson, 27, 119 Dodge St., Sumner, was charged Sunday with driving while license withdrawn.

• Jamal Hart, 20, 1505 Hickory St.,  Valdosta, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.

• Amanda Jane Cloud, 38, 224 Sam Harrell Road, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled substance and drugs to be kept in original container.

• Fredrick Dontrez Marcus, 31, 3330 Sale City Road, Camilla, was charged Friday with driving while license withdrawn.

• Pedro Flores-Cristobal, 26, 107 Seventh Ave. S.W., Cairo, was charged Friday with driving without license and failure to obey traffic control device.

• Alex Guillermo Lamas-Ybarra, 19, 3623 Nicks Road, Pelham, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, seat belt violation and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Joseph Edward Noonchester, 28, 21, Harris St., Pavo, was charged Friday with possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

• Bradley Dallice Hand, 27, 413 Rosedale Ave., Thomasville, was charged Friday with possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

• Jimmie Lee McBride, 54, 902 First Ave. N.W., was charged Saturday with probation violation.

• Michael Alan Jordan, 33, 958 Duchess Road, Douglas, was charged Friday with probation violation.

Berlin Police

• Prescilla Cruz, 35, 1410 Park St. Apt. 6, Clearwater, Fla., was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and speeding.

Doerun Police

• James Winton Fuller Jr., 37, 611 Byron Plantation Road, Albany, was charged Saturday with failure to appear.

Norman Park Police

• Nicholas George Stathas, 35, 131 Cypress Point Drive, Richmond Hill, Ga., was charged Saturday with too fast for conditions and driving while license withdrawn.

Georgia State Patrol

• Michael Dewayne Dillon, 45, 6209 Old Adel Road, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane and tire requirements.

Thefts

Moultrie Police

• Randy Wise, 48, Moultrie, reported Sunday the theft of a wallet that he lost in November.

Wise told police that he may have left the wallet at a motel, but staff at the motel told him they have not found it. The wallet contained his driver’s license and Social Security card.

T’Keyah Owens, 900 block Second Avenue Southwest, reported Sunday that a washing machine, freezer, microwave oven and stove, were taken in a burglary of her residence.

• Walmart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., reported Saturday that a female shoplifting suspect threw down a purse with bottles of lotion inside as she drove away.

• Family Dollar, 635 First Ave. S.E., reported Saturday that two were “acting suspicious” and that the front door alarm sounded as they were leaving after one paid for some cookies.

An employee told police that the one who bought the cookies then pulled out some personal hygiene items but the alarm sounded again. An employee grabbed his shirt and a deodorant stick fell out.

He then got into a Nissan Maxima that was heading out of the parking lot.

• Maurice Collins, 34, Ty Ty, reported Saturday the theft of a laptop computer and cell telephone valued at $1,100 out of a 1998 Ford Expedition parked in the 2000 block of Magnolia Lane.

Battery

Moultrie Police

• Shayll Spradley, Moultrie, reported Friday that a male acquaintance tried to pull a telephone from her hand as she tried to call for assistance during an argument with the man.

Spradley told police that they were walking near First Avenue and Sixth Street Southwest and that the man ran away before an officer arrived.

Sheriff’s Office

• Mt. Zion Grove Baptist Church, 179 Sandy Ridge Cemetery Road, reported Sunday that a former member stole $50,165 from the church over a number of years.

A church official told police that the woman admitted the theft in October and agreed to pay the money back by making a payment each month. However she had not done so as of Sunday.

The church has decided to pursue the theft as a civil matter rather than criminal prosecution.

• Eramo Aguilar, 300 block Hopewell Church Road, reported Friday the theft of the coil from a central air unit and a roll-up door with a total value of $80.

• Katholeene White, Spring Hill, Fla., reported Friday that while Patrick Hansell, of the same address, was in the hospital in Thomasville a male acquaintance used his checks and debit card to withdraw $1,632 from his checking account.

Hansell was living in Colquitt County at the time the theft occurred.

• Yolanda Carter, 1600 block Old Doerun Road, reported Saturday the theft of 30 prescription pills out of a car.

• Theresa Chastain, 7100 block Highway 37 West, Hartsfield, reported Sunday the theft of a cell telephone valued at $200 from the 5400 block of Funston-Sale City Road.

• Felipe Hernandez, 300 block Tommy Meredith Road, reported Friday the theft of part of his tax W2 form out of his mail box.

Other investigations

• Jonathan Boyd, 1900 block Thigpen Trail, Hartsfield, reported Saturday that he heard a “pop” sound at about 6:29 and later found what appeared to be a bullet in his residence.

Boyd told police that people at a nearby residence sometimes shoot guns and had a bonfire burning.

The officer tried to talk people at the residence identified by Boyd but was unable to gain access to the bonfire, sheriff’s reports said.

• Victor Harvey,  100 block Dunn Road, reported Sunday that a neighbor’s dogs came into his yard and killed his cat.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

• Mark Folsom, 49, Moultrie, reported Sunday that a storage unit was damaged in the first block of Third Street Southeast.

Folsom told police that when he stopped to pick up some belongings he found a sledge hammer lying on the ground in front of the door.

• Allen Roberts, 20, Moultrie, reported Sunday that a 1996 Ford F-150 truck was struck by another vehicle while parked in the 2600 block of First Avenue Southeast.

• Christopher Richardson, 600 block Seventh Avenue Southeast, reported Friday that a female acquaintance threw an object that broke a window of his residence.

Sheriff’s Office

• Sally Slater, 200 block J.D. Herndon Road, reported Sunday that two window panes were broken on a back door of a rental property in the 1000 block of Holmes Drive.
