A Colquitt County family recently celebrated two outstanding educational achievements back-to-back as a mother and son both graduated from college on consecutive days.

Marion J. Bentley Jr. graduated Dec. 13 from Georgia Southern University. A Colquitt County High School graduate, Bentley majored in computer science. 

One day later, Bentley’s mother, Marchelle T. Ward Bentley, wife of Marion J. Bentley Sr., graduated from Albany State University with a degree in business management.
