First graders at Cox Elementary School recently participated in an end of the unit celebration for ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’ They walked through the gates of the Wonka Factory and saw Augustus Gloop go up the chocolate pipes. All students participated in Wonka-themed games including a bubble blowing contest, a ‘pie-eating’ surprise, and tried to ‘Gloopify’ each other with balloons. They even won prizes for designing the best Wonka wrapper for candy bars!
