Smith became eligible to compete in the state event after winning the Area 5 FFA Job Interview competition.

The FFA Job Interview Competition is designed for members to develop, practice, and demonstrate skills needed in seeking employment in the agricultural industry.  Each part of the event simulates “real world” activities that could be used by employers.

Participants are asked to prepare a cover letter and resume for an agricultural-related job.  The students complete a written application, are interviewed by a panel of judges, and submit follow-up correspondence.
