Dorothy ‘Pat’ Riggs Willis, 69, of Coolidge, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., today, May 21, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Thomasville. Casketbearers will be T.E. Welch, Chris McDonald, McArthur Willis, Daniel Willis, Michael Hurst, Chucky Boyd and Joey Videto.

Born Feb. 6, 1944, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Elijah Thomas Riggs and Georgia Belle Parker Riggs. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Alexander Willis Jr.; three sisters, Gladys Riggs Baker, Sarah Virginia Fulghum and Linda Kay Riggs Boyd; and two brothers, J.C. Riggs and Thomas Jackson Riggs.

Survivors include one daughter, Dawna Kay Willis Gilbert of Coolidge; one son, Ricky Todd Willis of Unadilla; two sisters, Ruth Riggs Burns and Eunice Riggs Kelly, both of Moultrie; three grandchildren, Christina Strout, Johnathan Howard Gilbert and Thomas Elijah Gilbert; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service, on Tuesday, at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
