Dorothy Spruill entertained the Keenagers as she played the piano and sang several songs at their monthly meeting.
The group joined in some of the songs, which included “I’ll Fly Away,” Just a Bowl of Butterbeans,” and “I’ll Be Home Before Dark.”
She is recovering from pancreatic cancer surgery and is using her talent in a way to help herself heal and to let others enjoy her music, she said.
Willette Pearson presided over the meeting and Loren Hildebrandt had the devotion.
Helen Sewell updated the group on their future trips, which were the Three Church meeting in Valdosta on Nov. 15, and a trip to Tifon to hear the Juballiers on Nov. 16.
The covered dish luncheon was hosted by the Keenager officers. Frank Farmer greeted the members and aided them with their dishes. The church provided flowers for each table.
Anniversary honorees were Frank and Edith Farmer, Dot and Leon Mims and James and Willette Pearson.
Door Prizes went to Betty Shiflett and Frank Farmer.
Julia Demott Emerick was a visitor.
Hildebrandt dismissed with special prayer for the sick in the community.
