Personal Finance wins Habitat for Humanity tournament

- Personal Finance was the low gross team. The team included Craig Stevens, Hayden Willis, Griff Beaty and Donnie Edwards.
Colquitt County Habitat for Humanity 8th Annual Golf Tournament was held Thursday, Nov.1 at the Sunset Country Club.
Professional Bob Windom announced the shotgun-start. The tournament fielded 27 teams with the team of Personal Finance taking top honors leading Low Gross with a 57.
The team members were Griff Beaty, Donnie Edwards, Craig Stevens and Hayden Willis. Taking Low Net was Southern Valley shooting a 55.7 with Grady Clements, Kellen Copeland, Will Graves and Dug Schwalls. Ping Irons and other Ping golf equipment were the prizes for top honors.
Winning second Low Gross was the team of Bob’s Athletics shooting a 58. Team players were Andrew Eunice, Bobby Eunice, Brad Eunice, and Chad Eunice. Second place Low Net was Chemnut with a 57.7. Chemnut players were Greg Allyn, Jeff Jursick, Kevin Kinsey and Guy Stripling.
Edwards Motors won third Low Gross 60 with Billy Edwards, Billy Edwards, Davis Edwards and Robbie Faircloth. Taking third Low Net 57.7 was Windstream with players Jason Blanton, Ross Dekle Michael Lavoie and T.A. Parker.
Topping fourth Low Gross 61 was Nichino with Bill Black, Wayne Brown, Greg Coop and Charles Hill. Mobley Gin finished fourth Low Net 58.0 with team players Durwood Dominy, Mark Mobley, Jim Turner and Bob Newsome.
The Longest Drive Contest was won by Stephen Cheney and Elizabeth Funderburke.
Winning Closest to the pins were Mark Mobley, Billy Edwards, Tyler Key and Greg Coop. Prizes were coolers of steaks furnished by National Beef.
The tournament Gold Sponsors ChemNut, Farmer’s Gin and Peanuts, International Forest Products, Mobley Gin, Nichino America, Personal Finance, Sharon DeMott State Farm Insurance, Teramore Development, Turning Point and Weather’s Law Office.
All of Habitat’s proceeds go toward helping provide affordable housing for working, deserving families in Colquitt County.
