A thought
“Just imagine how academics in our school system would improve if the community didn’t spend so much time and money on golf, fishing, hunting, vacations, eating out, etc., etc. Oh well, I just thought if we were going to beat up on football we should include all sports, passions and pastimes.”
Applause
“A big thanks to Amy Johnson, Daniel Dunn, and all others who made the Saturday night concert possible! Street Corner Symphony and The Colquitt Co Men’s Chorus both gave awesome performances!”
The game
“Colquitt County! It is time to get behind OUR boys, OUR football players, OUR PACKERS! I witnessed bitterness and hatred Friday night as Central and Lowndes combined their coaching resources to “Put Rush Propst in his place”. In doing so, they ROBBED our boys and our community of a fair game.Stand up for US!”

Thanks!
“I didn’t properly thank the 2 men in the black pickup truck who helped me with a flat tire outside of Doerun, just before Labor Day weekend. One was late for a child’s appointment but stopped anyway. They were definitly heroes of the day for me. Thanks also to the Doerun policeman for checking on us. Just wish I could pay back in kind everyone that helped!”
Not new
“Hey Coach, stealing signs have been around a long time. Almost as long as recruiting players have been. Just admit, you got beat.”
Behavior
“In response to “Behavior.” You are correct; the country is bogged down with behavior consequences. Health problems from obesity and smoking are terrible. Behavior that leads to divorce and breaking families apart is devastating. These issues probably hit too close to home for too many of us. It easier to judge people with HIV/AIDS.”
Kids’ health
“Go ahead make as many quotes as you want about football, act like you didn’t do anything to endanger your health as a child! By the way studies show most of the American kids are overweight in our country so don’t tell me that is not going to affect them later in life!”
Their arrests
“The Blomberg family must think Colquitt County is hell on earth. A loved one is murdered and dumped in the woods, then the owner has them arrested for visiting the dump site.”
Property values
“Why were properties in Colquitt County re-evaluated and the values went up, but in Ben Hill County property values came down. There is no way on God’s green earth that our property values have increased in this bad economy! But, they would just raise the millage rate anyway.”
