Dorothy Lee Taylor Rodgers, 83, of Tallahassee, Fla., and formerly of Doerun, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Tallahassee with the Rev. Eric Dudley officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Peter’s Columbarium.
Born July 19, 1929, in Doerun, she was the daughter of the late William Leon Taylor and Dorris Lucille Edwards Taylor Toney. She was a retired teacher with the Deerfield School in Albany, Ga., and was a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Austin Rodgers and Ken Allen Rodgers; and one brother, William Leon Taylor Jr.
Survivors include one son, Wallace Ralph Rodgers Jr. and wife Kay of Albany, Ga.; one daughter, Lee Rodgers Ard and husband Sam of Tallahassee; one half-sister, Dorris Edwards Toney of Thomasville; and three grandchildren, Austin Lee Ard, Samual Ard Jr. and Margaret Kay Ard.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Building Fund, 901 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, Fla., 32303.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
