Marion Shirley Blackburn, 68, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 18, at Moultrie Church of God with the Rev. Ricky McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Bruce Jordan, Stanley Jordan, Chris Hancock, Ricky Blackburn, Alan Blackburn and Ernest Blackburn.

Born Jan. 29, 1944, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Shirley Blackburn and Ethel Whitsel Blackburn. He was a retired correctional officer with Colquitt County and was a member of Moultrie Church of God.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Hoyt Blackburn, J.W. Blackburn, Marvin Blackburn and Joe Blackburn; and four sisters, Esther Hall, Loutrelle Burgess, Laurine Howell and Marie Sadler.

Survivors include his wife, Tiny Elizabeth Jordan Blackburn of Moultrie; three sisters-in-law, Ethelle Blackburn of Moultrie, Shirley Blackburn of Georgetown, Ga., and Juanita Burns of Thomasville; three brothers-in-law, Walter Jordan of Ochlocknee, Joe Jordan and wife Bobbie of Pavo and Eulis Jordan and wife Mary Ellen of Lee, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, May 17, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
