Hathcock leads SGB to Midget League victory

Tucker Hathcock was the winning pitcher and went 3-for-3 at the plate at Southwest Georgia Bank defeated Quality Employment 12-7 on Tuesday in a Midget League game at the Magnolia Sports Complex.

Daniel Reed had two hits and Caleb Ashley, Seth Gay and Max Figueroa each had one for South Georgia Bank, which raised its record to 7-4.

Turner Sircy, David Schroeder and Brandon Dean each had a hit for Quality Employment.

In Tuesday’s other Midget League game, Southwest Georgia Insurance won via forfeit over Ameris.

In Farm League action on Tuesday, Lazarus pounded Zaxby’s 15-4.

Jon Cone had three hits, including a home run, and Bobby Ussery, Benjamin McLaughlin, J.T. Whatley, Chance Sealey, Drew Dalton, Casey Vinson, Hunter Devore and Will Zember each had two for Lazarus, now 6-5.

Omarian Daniels, Jeb Johnson and Jacob Boyd each had two for Zaxby’s.

Brooks Henry and Hunter Strickland each had three hits to lead Davis Insurance to a 14-4 victory over Farm Bureau in Tuesday’s other Farm League game.

Duron Rushing, Callon Kubiak, Logan Livingston, Colby Dunn and Lane Bruce each had two for Davis Insurance, now 7-4.

Tajh Sanders and Ryan Smith each had two for Farm Bureau. Sanders had a home run.

In Tiny Mites on Tuesday, Holman Supply edged Uni Health Magnolia Manor South 3-2 and Thompson Electric won over Hutson Motors 11-3.
