Opal Jane Tucker Croy, 70, of Funston, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at Funston Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating. Interment will follow in Funston Cemetery, with the Rev. James “Shot” Sellers officiating.

Casketbearers will be Danny Parker, Andy Parker, Jody Parker, Chris Tucker, Jamie Croy and Ricky Croy.

Born January 5, 1942, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Wilford Tucker and Lollie Pate Tucker. She retired from Riverside Manufacturing with 47 years of service, and was a member of Funston Baptist Church.

“She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and was very family oriented.  She was an avid gardener,” her family remembered of her.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Larry Gene Croy of Funston; two sons, Stacey Croy and wife Robin and Shannon Croy and wife Joy, all of Moultrie; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Croy, Katelyn Croy and Blake Strickland; two sisters, Doris Parker and husband Ray of Bay and Sue Rosencrantz and husband Gene of Moultrie; one brother, Marvin Tucker and wife Gayle of Moultrie; one brother-in-law, Randall Croy and wife Judy of Moultrie.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 412 1st St., S.E., Moultrie, Ga. 31768.
