A man accused of stealing change from a Moultrie restaurant faces theft and drug charges after suspected marijuana was found on him at the time of his arrest.

Zaxby’s, 507 Veterans Parkway S., reported Monday that an employee had been caught on videotape taking more than $100 in change kept in petty cash in an office, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

On Tuesday, Fred Hawkins Jr. was arrested at the restaurant.

Hawkins 28, 522 27th St. S.E. Apt. 10, was charged Tuesday with three counts of theft by taking and possession of marijuana.
