Juanita Lee Pierson, 78, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wilbur Shafer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ronald Barrett. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Dean Eubanks, Chris Hamilton, Jeramie Eubanks, Jack Terry, Johnny Walker, Travis King and Lavon King.
Born June 1, 1933, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late J.M. Lee and Dovie Howard Grantham. She was a homemaker and was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Blondell Lee Eubanks.
Survivors include her husband, Robert C. Pierson of Moultrie; her step-father, William Grantham of Doerun; four nephews, Dennis Eubanks and wife Lisa and Donnie Eubanks and wife Trina, all of Moultrie, David Jones and wife Lisa of Floral City, Fla., and Ted Jones of Dade City, Fla.; two nieces, Debbie Schmitz and husband Heinz of High Point, N.C., and Tammy Moody and husband Dewayne of Thomasville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
