Juanita Folsom Gay

Juanita Folsom Gay, 87, of Sylvester and formerly of Moultrie, died Friday Sept. 16, 2011, at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor 2 in Sylvester.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday Sept. 18, at Banks Funeral Home Chapel in Sylvester with interment to follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Gardens cemetery. Committal services will be held at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

Born Jan. 30, 1924, in Brooks County, Mrs. Gay was the daughter of the late Leon Folsom and Lula Rebecca Seay Gay. She had lived in Worth County since 2005 after moving from Moultrie, where she had lived most of her life. She was a homemaker and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl B. Gay.

Survivors include a daughter, Amy Boyette and husband Steve of Poulan; four sons, Billy Gay and wife Shirley, Bobby L. Gay and wife Toye and Ronnie Gay and wife Peggy, all of Moultrie, and Greg Gay and wife Barbara of Waynesboro, Va.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester.
