Omega Mayor Ray Hunt Jr. of Omega welcomed the Veterans Park committee — Bill Johnson, who served as the master of ceremonies at the rededication; Shirley Marchant and Rubye Meders.

A crowd of veterans and other people recently visited Omega for the rededication of the Omega Veterans Park. Special guests were Cmdr. J.D. Lindsey of DAV Post 38, Pat Bostick, John Danforth, Terry Baker, Jeremy Dickens, Tony Bennett, Patty Dunn and Richard Marchant. The Diamonds were also there to perform. Mayor Ray Hunt Jr. of Omega welcomed guests to the rededication, and the Veterans Park committee — Bill Johnson, who served as the master of ceremonies at the rededication; Shirley Marchant and Rubye Meders — were also present. The park was built in 1995 with the help of the mayor, Cecile Gilliard, Donnis William, Ken Ponder and Meders.
