Evelyn Seawright Owens Hand, 75, of Coolidge, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Golden Living Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Patten Holiness Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Greg Player will officiate and interment is in Big Creek Cemetery.

Born March 3, 1935, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Vernon Seawright and Gladys Faulkner Seawright. In 1986, in Coolidge, she married John Lee Hand, who survives, and she was married to Cecil Owens, who preceded her in death in 1983.

She was also preceded in death by son, Cecil Wayne Owens.

Other survivors include daughters, Yvonne Bennett and husband Bill of Atlanta and Patricia Jenkins and husband Randy of Moultrie; sons, Vernon Owens and wife Julie and Peter G. Owens and wife Rebecca Ann, all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Shannon Hipp, Carrie Conley, Aaron Bennett, Jenny Cronk, Paula Bishop, Heather Hancock, Brandi Jenkins, Randy Jenkins, Jason Owens, Ashlee Brooks, Hunter Owens, Amanda Hamilton, Wayne Owens and Daniel Morris; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Annie Ruth Bryant of Meigs, Eldon Seawright and wife Willie Mae of Ochlocknee, Grady Seawright and wife Doris of Douglas, Ga., and James Seawright, Hazel Jones and husband Jay, Dorothy Lewis and husband Judson and Jeannette Bozeman, all of Coolidge; and special nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to Patten Holiness Church, 10755 Hwy. 122, Thomasville, Ga. 31757.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 18, at the funeral home.
