Bible questions

“I find the discussions of the Bible very interesting. I have a couple of questions: When a Christian dies, does he go on to heaven right then, or does he lie in the grave until the return of Christ? I remember Christ telling the thief on the cross that he would be with Him in paradise that very day. But, I’ve heard it both ways. At funerals, I seem to hear that the deceased is already in heaven as we mourn his departure.

“And then there’s that thing about each one of us standing in front of God on judgement day and answering for all our sins. Well, if I’ve already been forgiven for those sins, then why do we go back over them?

“The thing about who Cain married doesn’t bother me. I took biology in college.”

Evidence

“I did not care for Mr. Morton’s sermonette. He is saying no matter how unreasonable the Bible may appear, you must believe. No matter how impossible the miracles may seem, you must believe. No matter how cruel the laws, your heart must approve them all. An honest person, when asked to believe, asks for evidence. An honest person, who asks another to believe, offers evidence.”

“In response to Rec games, that is a nice suggestion and would be nice for our younger kids to be able to play at our stadium, they are as much a part of the stadium history as the big guys are.”

“I think the person who said dogs were “bred” from domesticated wolves needs to read some Darwin. “Selective breeding” and “natural selection” are similar processes – One occurs naturally and the other by human interference. No matter how you want to see it, you are seeing evolution… Were foxes on the ark? or were they ‘created’ too?”

“I have the opportunity to work with DET on occasions and let me assure you, they do their job!  It takes more than tips to make a substantial case against someone manufacturing methamphetamine. Just because someone has materials to make methamphetamine on their property does not mean you can charge them with manufacturing methamphetamine. This is something DET knows and the public does not. Let them do there job!”

“Answer to your riddle. A drug agent can only find the drugs they are funded to find. why not give a little support and lets get funding to control the drugs in Colquitt County.”
