Drug agents and other law enforcment continue their pressure on an increasing methamphetamine trade in Colquitt County with numerous arrests made in recent months. On Tuesda, a Moultrie man was apprehended  after Drug Enforcement Team (DET) agents found alleged items used in making methamphetamine in his house.

Noah Lew Sangster, 26, of 162-D Cook Road, was charged with criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and two counts of probation violation.

DET agents were assisting the Department of Family and Children’s Services on an unrelated call at a house on Cook Road about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The agents found Sangster at the house, and he was placed under arrest after it was found he had probation violation warrants.

The agents went to search his house related to the arrest, and they found a camouflage bag in a trash can next to the porch. Upon searching the bag, several items used to make methamphetamine were allegedly found inside. Sangster was then charged with making the drug and was taken to Colquitt County Jail.

• Tami Irene Sapp, 45, of 305 Pine Trail Road, was charged Thursday with driving with a suspended license and driving without a tag.

• Curley Johnson Jr., 34, of 905 Eighth Ave. S.E., was charged Wednesday with burglary, obstruction, five counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon ands bondsman off bond.

• Flora Elizabeth Rogers, 45, of 74 Bowden Ave. in Pavo, was charged Thursday with seven counts of financial transaction card fraud.

• Willie Lee Sims, 41, of 134 Walker St. in Norman Park, was charged Thursday with first degree forgery and two counts of a child support violation.

• William Gandy Sloan Jr., 23, of 813 E. Central Ave., was charged Thursday with two counts of financial transaction card fraud, theft by taking a motor vehicle and criminal receiving of goods by fraudulent means.

• Timothy B. Moore, 47, of 824 E. Jane St., Apt. C, in Valdosta, was charged Thursday with two counts of identity theft.

Doerun Police

• Kim Holt, 49, of 405 E. Broad Ave. in Doerun, was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct.

Moultrie Police

• Uella Jones, of Ninth Street Southwest, reported a thief stole an LG 32-inch television Thursday. The value of the stolen television was estimated at $450.

• An employee with the Moultrie Observer reported a thief stole two newspaper boxes, one at Bishop’s on First Street Southeast and the other at Allegood’s Grocery on Tallokas Road, and cash from inside the boxes between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen items was about $1,543.

• Georgett Jones, of Fourth Avenue Northeast, reported a male acquaintance stole a Nintendo DS game system and a cell phone Wednesday. The value of the stolen items was $471.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Susan Musgrove, of Halls Trail, reported a female relative stole her LG cell phone between Wednesday and Thursday. The value of the stolen cell phone was $550.

• John Brooks, of Sylvester Highway, reported a male acquaintance borrowed his Chevrolet Lumina for work but never returned it between 10:20 a.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday.

• Cari Huante, of Clubview Drive, reported a thief stole $600 cash from her purse that was in her unlocked Nissan Altima between 8:10 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday.
