MOULTRIE — Jordan Taylor Hicks, 26, of Moultrie, died Saturday, March 26, 2010, in Worth County, Ga.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Jones officiating and Minister Zilphia Dorsett assisting. Burial will follow in the St. James Pallbearer Cemetery No. 2. Kyle Hicks, William Hicks II, John Jordan, William Lattimore, Ronnie Jordan Jr. and Courtney Mitchell will serve as pallbearers.

He was born on May 28, 1983, in Moultrie, to William Hicks Sr. and Belinda Hicks. He was employed with Equity Group in Camilla, Ga., as a lead supervisor for seven months and KFC Restaurant. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by one grandmother, Mary D. Hamm; one grandfather, James Hamm; and great-grandmother, Ruthie B. Mercer.

He is survived by his parents William Hicks Sr. and Belinda Hicks, both of Moultrie; one son, Jordan Thornton Hicks of Moultrie; one daughter, Jourynei Hicks of Doerun; two brothers, Kyle Hicks of Nashville, Tenn., and William Hicks II of Moultrie; one grandmother, Ruthie Lee Revill and husband William of Moultrie; seven special friends, Charles Edwards, Al Tuff, Willie Lattimore, Robert Jordan, Ronnie Jordan Jr., John Jordan and Ronnie Jordan Sr.; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 605 Second St. N.W.

Visitation will be today, March 11, at Luke Strong and Son Mortuary Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m.
