MOULTRIE — If you’ve caught spring fever, maybe you’re looking for just the thing to spruce up your garden, your home or yourself. There’s a good chance you can find it at the Calico Arts and Crafts Show in Moultrie.

The biannual event will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 20, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at Spence Field on Highway 133. Adult admission is $5. There is free parking for all and free admission for children 12 and under.

Make your backyard a main attraction with an unforgettable, handmade birdhouse or birdfeeder salvaged from old barn wood and pine furniture by Charles Bush, Damascus, Ga. You can compliment it with a seasonal wreath or floral arrangement from Jeannie and Frances Routh of Moultrie, who will have a variety of vivid-colored wreaths in store for you. Bring nature indoors with a handpainted window by Stathia Hammond of Southport, N.C., and see charming scenery through her eyes.

Ladies can add a twist to their wardrobe with any of the accessories available from Hollywood, S.C., crafter Caroline Sandlin. The Carolina native makes rustic, casual style jewelry by combining her own handcrafted pottery beads, with a variety of other items that include stone beads, African recycled glass beads, ethnic wood and bone beads, shells, and coral. She finishes each piece with her own bench fabricated sterling accents and clasps.

From ornamental iron home and garden décor, to painted glass and antiques, to whimsical painted children’s furniture and accessories … it’s all together in one location. Don’t forget all the gourmet delights to savor and so much more. These items are lovingly made by local artisans and crafts people. Clogging teams from around the South will entertain the crowds on both days.
