WILLOWICK, Ohio — Mary Odessa “Dessie” Richardson Motulewicz, 91, of Willowick, Ohio, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, Ohio.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Monreal Funeral Home in Eastlake, Ohio.
Born Dec. 8, 1918, in Moultrie, she was a Willowick resident for 56 years.
“She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, neighbor and friend to many. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was very proud of her flowers,” her family said of her.
She worked at Sears, Federals, J.C. Penney and Lake County National Bank and was a longtime volunteer at Lake West Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jack Sternisha; and siblings, Susie May Richardson, Mattie Lou Kilgore, Wilma Martin, Mary Conrad and James Richardson.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Edward P. Motulewicz; children, James Motulewicz and wife Rita, Janice Sternisha and Karen Hensley and husband Mike; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Stair and Alberta Horne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that “a loved one” be taken to dinner in her memory.
