Passionate

“You guys are hysterical. I have to say that I take time every day to read the rants/raves from Moultrie. My precious in-laws live with you, and they have me hooked.

“I live where the world is a great deal more fast paced, and no one cares what you think or what anyone else has to say unless it is to their face. No matter what the subject, you guys are so passionate. Thank you so much for a daily dose of small town.”

A puppet

“A chance? Goodness that was a rather brash statement considering Obama does not know too much of anything when asked about policies that he supposedly wrote. Can we say Manchurian candidate. Obama is simply the puppet for the many puppeteers pulling his strings. I have yet to see a president besides Clinton who is more interested in his celebrity than his job.”

Leave us alone

“Every outsider that comes in to the Colquitt County School system wants to change things. It would be okay if it were for the best but it is not. The high school principal changed the high school graduation ceremony from cool nights to early morning heat. Now the coach changed our helmets.

“The band director changed the band. The helmets look like Hoover High helmets. What’s wrong with the way we are. I love CCHS the way it is. Change is good if it is for the best. If you love the way things are done where you came from, go back. Leave us along to be our selves. we are different and unique.”

Football stadium

“Whether or not a new football stadium is in the future plans, to those who say ‘if you want a new stadium, then pay for it’. Well, I would like to know who ‘paid for the new soccer fields and Packer Park? Consider this. … If we can’t have a new stadium, then why not “upgrade” the one we have! For instance, the general admission has only one small section to fit those who cannot afford to buy reserve seats.

“Reserve seats have to be paid for all at one time, whereas, general admission we can pay for week by week. Those of us who make minimum wage cannot afford the reserve seats even though we would love to have the extra seats that are not filled unless there is a game such as Lowndes or Valdosta.”

Lay off

“Lay off the coach. What ever he’s doing, it’s working.”

Pay for itself

“You know why high school football is king in our area? Because no other sport brings in tens of thousands of dollars in ticket and concession sales. So when talking about funding a new stadium one day, you don’t have to worry about it costing you anything. It can pay for itself.”
