Cleared it up
“I think we’ve cleared the matter up now. The person to your right has the right of way. Move on.”
Observation
“Based on what I’ve read and observed, perhaps we have many drivers who should review a copy of the Georgia Driver’s Manual.”
Now PETA?
“I just watched a news broadcast about all the pythons that are threatening the Everglades in Florida. And they are suggesting putting a bounty on these creatures because they threaten an ecosystem. Now watch PETA get involved and screw up the whole project.”
Glad to see it
“Cool Springs Road and 37 is a bad intersection, it needed a four way stop. I’m glad to see it come. guess none of you have witnessed a bad enough accident there.”
Appalled
“I am appalled at the ranter who used ‘large and lazy’ some people really have a medical problem and can not help what condition they are in. Yes there are those who abuse the carts but there are those who need them. I have seen people on them who just want ride around and they were not large and lazy as you put it.
“Find something better to rant about. Oh and yes I am a Large person. I am not a lazy person. I have never used the carts at any store because I believe those are their for the elderly and those who are truly unable to walk the store. You must be a “skinny angry” person.”
A reminder
“The firing of the police chief in Doerun brought to the attention of the concerned citizens that Georgia has a ‘At Will’ law that allows a state, county or city official to hire or fire an employee with out giving the employee a reason. So the ‘good ole boy’ politics are still alive and well in South Georgia.”
Legal but wrong
“By not telling the police chief of Doerun why he was fired is further corroborated that things can be legal but still be morally wrong.”
A suggestion
“One way to provide more revenue for the city on a per use basis is to bring back parking meters. I am aware that some would balk at the idea however, the funds could be used to hire more law enforcement.”
Slow down
“To the guy in the white Jeep Cherokee with the big dent in your door from hitting my mailbox (McGinty Road) and tearing it to pieces, you had no business going that fast around a 90 degree curve and you had better thank God that my children weren’t out.”
