MOULTRIE — A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will be open in Colquitt County today from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. It will be located at the Colquitt County Emergency Management Agency office at 164 N. Veterans Parkway.

The move is in response to storms that struck the area in late March and early April, causing flooding. Colquitt and other South Georgia counties were recently declared federal disaster areas, qualifying residents and businesses for help from the national government for clean-up and repairs.

All individuals with damage to their homes and/or businesses will need to come in for assistance. Please contact FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 or through the Web site at www.fema.gov to apply for assistance prior to arriving at the DRC.

The office will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. starting today.
