NORMAN PARK — Eddith Latrelle Baker Hatchett, 80, of Norman Park, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Baker Funeral Home with the Revs. Marshall Kennedy, Andy Cashwell and Sam Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Robert Paul Walden, Ben English, David Stone, Tim Hendricks, Clint Carter and David Hamilton serving as pallbearers.
Born Oct. 3, 1928, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Lattie Baker and Sarah Elizabeth Lola Ross Baker. She was a retired secretary from Bridgeport Plumbing and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lattie M. Hatchett; a brother, Jerry Ira Baker; and sisters, Sarah Nelda Baker Miller and Charlotte Baker.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Hatchett of Norman Park; a daughter, Joyce Carter and husband Lyonel of Moultrie; brother-in-law, Darwin Miller of Florida; a sister-in-law, Kathyren Baker; and grandchildren, Laura Carter of Valdosta, Ga., and Clinton M. Carter of Moultrie.
Visitation will be today, Feb. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Moultrie or a charity of choice.
Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
