WORTH COUNTY, Ga. — Anne Simmons Tucker, 68, of Worth County, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2009, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with cremation to follow. The Rev. Brad Hughes will officiate.

A native of Palatka, Fla., she was retired from the City of Albany, where she worked as an administrative assistant for 27 years. “She loved her family and was a nature enthusiast,” her family said.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Reason Tucker; and her daughter, Donna Burley.

She is survived by her son, Richard M. Tucker and his wife Kim of Worth County; three grandchildren, Stephan D. Burley and his wife Lakin of Moultrie, Brittaney N. Burley of Sycamore, Ga., and her fiancé Scott Schwing of Mystic, Ga., and Reazon Matthew Tucker of Worth County; and one great-granddaughter, Lanie Lynne Burley.

The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors on Sunday from 2 until 3 p.m.
