Amused

“I’m amused at the comment that Obama should be quiet and let Bush be president. Would you have said the same thing if McCain had won? By the way, it’s always worked this way.

“The president elect announces his team and talks about plans. Obama didn’t invent this. All that said, Bush isn’t acting like a president and someone needs to do that job.

“Of course as long as Bush is roasting hot dogs on his Texas ranch, he’s not screwing anything else up.”

I agree

“I agree with newsman Chris Matthews. The time between election and inauguration should be shorter, like on Jan. 1. And this year is the epitome of why this should be done.”

Good idea

“I agree with Roger Simon in Thursday’s paper. It makes a lot more sense to invest in Detroit than in Iraq. It would made even more sense to have never invested lives and dollars in Iraq.”

Sad observation

“It’s really sad to note how many people who want Obama to fail as president. We indeed are a nation of less intellect and more of a dumbed down society.”

That scam

“I was just wondering, that big scam a few months back that several Colquitt County residents were involved in.

“What every happened. I know there were some of the victims defending the company and vowing that the business would be back in business in a matter of weeks.

“Are those people still waiting for the scam to start back up or have they finally excepted that got had.”

Quit crying

“If you are a devoted Republican and refuse to admit the problems caused ‘by your party’ over the last eight years, just accept this, the election is over, more people believe your party was ‘bad’ for the country than good for it, and your group lost the election.

“Quit crying, grow up, take a long look at what you represent and the things you need to change and we will see, in four years, whether you have learned something or if you are still belly-aching about having had your butt kicked.”

Challenge you

“’It was the Republicans who tried two years ago to implement changes that would have helped to prevent the problems we have now?’

“I challenge you to present factual proof of such a claim.

“You must have dreamt that while you were visiting your out-house, because that is surely where something like your statement belongs.”
