Research Fannie Mae

Dear editor:

I wonder why some are so ready to trash McCain and Palin. Let’s talk about Obama for a few minutes. Look up the people involved in Fanny Mae. The person who received the most money was a man named Franks, guess who is second on the money list.

Look at how many are Democrats on Fanny Mae’s money list. Speaking of Democrats, this started on Jimmy Carter’s watch and continued to Clinton’s watch. I wonder how much each of them received from Fanny.

Without going into detail this was Carter’s and Clinton’s plan to make more home owners of people who qualified for loans. So banks made loans to unqualified people and Fanny May bought up all the loans. McCain told everyone that if Fanny Mae failed, the government would have to bail them out. No one wanted to hear this especially the Democrats who were on the payroll.

I personally did not want the government to bail these out any of the money disasters The people in charge should be held responsible to their companies and to their share holders. What is beyond me is the amount of money paid to CEOs and other top executives. W e read about salaries like $300,000,000.00 per year and bonus packages on top of that. Sports stars that get paid millions of dollars of dollars per year. I don’t know of anyone that is worth millions of dollars per year, no one. The president of the United States doesn’t make half a million per year.

The government is about what is best for them and to hell with the voters. When this bailout was being voted, even though voters said they didn’t want the government to bail out these people, they did it anyway. I firmly believe that on election day we should not vote for anyone who is an incumbent. We need to take back control of the government now, not later. The only way to take back our government is to change the people in the Senate and House.

One thing that really stuck in my craw was the reference to how much experiences Obama has. There’s no comparison. Palin was a mayor and a governor who has a security clearance above Obama and McCain. You were right when you stated that Obama was educated at two top schools. Who paid for his education?

We know that his mother didn’t have any money. We have all heard what a poor life he had as a child. So, who paid for his education? He has spent less that a year as a senator, that is his experience in government. I for one would not have any problem with Palin in charge.

The whole world would see what it is like to have someone with an attitude in charge of the most powerful country. The last thing I wonder is what the Clinton?s are getting out of this?
