MOULTRIE — Annie Bass Wilson, 91, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Moultrie.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Harrell and the Rev. Johnny Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Dennis Strickland, Hugh Allegood, Kevin Cowart, Kyle Cowart, Andy Parker and Alex Morrell.
Born Jan. 27, 1917, in Lafayette County, Fla., she was the daughter of the late James Barnard Bass and Ollie Ezelle Bass. She was formerly associated with McClelland’s Dime Store and Riverside Manufacturing. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Emerson Wilson; and a grandson, Derick Allegood.
Surviving are two daughters, Lawayna Wilson Scott of Moultrie and Sandra Wilson Cowart and husband Jerry of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Marsha Strickland, Hugh Allegood, Kevin Cowart, Kelli Cowart and Kyle Cowart; seven great-grandchildren, Jill Pelfrey, Heather Strickland, Justin Allegood, Kennedy Cowart, Kaden Cowart, Kameron Anderson and Gabriel Sears; and two great-great-grandchildren, Madison Pelfrey and Liam Pelfrey.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Oct. 14, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
