NORMAN PARK — Richard G. “Charlie” Foster, 68, of Norman Park, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
No formal services are planned.
Born Oct. 27, 1939, in Spartanburg County, S.C., he was the son of the late Edith Pauline Sloan Peavy and George Franklin Foster. He was a retired chief postal clerk in the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Joyce Foster of Norman Park; son, Richard Alan Foster; daughters, Joyce Renee Foster-Sassic and husband Nick of Enterprise, Fla., and Patricia Lynn Farnsworth of Woodstock, Ga.; brothers, Wayne Foster of St. Cloud, Fla., Johnny Foster and Robin Foster of Old Town, Fla.; sisters, Patricia Peyton of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Penny Hunter and Sandra Peavy of Old Town, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
