10-and-under all-stars win tournament

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County 10-and-under B all-stars took first place in a tournament held last weekend in Ashburn.
The all-stars played six games and scored 62 runs and banged out 101 hits.
Noah Moore led the all-stars with a .726 batting average for the tournament, including 10 hits. He also drove in nine runs.
Hayden Bledsoe had 13 hits, Trey Clark had 12, Buck Blalock added 11, and Moore and Logan Wheeler each had 10.
Kevin Snyder had nine hits; Chason Fannin had seven; Clayton Brooks, Griffin Simmons and Taylor Buckner each had six; Austin Singletary had five; Savonta Slaughter had four and Austin McCord had two in limited playing time after suffering an injury.
The B all-stars will open GRPA District III tournament play at 5:30 p.m. Monday against Mitchell County in Cordele. The Colquitt County A team will play at 7 p.m. Monday.
