Creech, Pitts lead Quality victory

MOULTRIE — Vann Pitts went 4-for-4 with a home run and winning pitcher Matt Creech chipped in two hits as Quality Employment defeated Edwards Motors 8-2 on Thursday in Pony League play.
Zac Wheeler also had two hits for Quality Employment, which raised its record to 10-0.
Daren Kent went 3-for-3 for Edwards Motors.
Ameris got a balanced hitting attack in its 7-6 victory over Clements Pools in Thursday’s other Pony League game.
Skyler Lindsey was the winning pitcher and he joined Alex Littleton, Matt Gerald, Tyroni Walker and Blake Seagers in getting two hits for Ameris, now 7-3.
In Midget League action, Ameris raised its record to 9-1 with a 15-0 victory over Market Barbecue. Daniel Mobley was the winning pitcher and joined Jay Tolbert and Drew Penuel with two hits for Ameris.
O’Shay Williams was the winning pitcher and had three hits as Davis Insurance defeated Southwest Georgia Bank 11-6 in Thursday’s other Midget League game.
Clyber Klatos also had three hits and Adam Webb added two hits for Davis Insurance, now 4-6.
Parker Hoes had a pair of base hits for Southwest Georgia Bank, now 2-7-1.
In Thursday’s Farm League action, Lazarus pounded Ameris 11-1 with Houston Massey, Codi Noble and Taylor Willis each contributing two hits.
Lazarus is now 8-2. Ameris, which falls to 2-8, got two hits from Hayden Suggs.
Wheeler Hunnicutt went 4-for-4 to lead Southwest Georgia Bank to a 12-4 Farm League victory over Zaxby’s on Thursday.
Landon Scott, Bailey Kirkland, Jordan Rosales and Dustin Castleberry each had two hits for Southwest Georgia Bank, 5-4-1.
Cole Nix and Ben Weeks each had two hits for Zaxby’s, 0-10.
In Tiny Mites, Baell Mercantile won over Southwest Georgia Bank 12-10 and Stone’s defeated Holman Supply 10-4.
