Police probe 2 robberies in two days

MOULTRIE — Two employees of Paradise Point II reported being robbed at gunpoint Friday evening.
Officers were called to Paradise Point II on Talmadge Drive at 6:07 p.m. Friday. They spoke with the two employees, who stated two black males came into the store about 6 p.m.
Once inside, one of them pulled out a gun while the other man went to the store’s cash register. An estimated $1,310 cash was taken, and the two robbers fled the scene on foot. Neither employee was injured.
The armed robbery was the second one reported to the Moultrie Police Department within a 36-hour period. Two men held up the Waffle House on First Avenue Southeast at 1:11 a.m. Thursday and stole about $238 cash from a register. It was not immediately known if the two robberies were related to each other.

• Fiona Dawson, 20, of 307 10th Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with no proof of insurance, driving with suspended registration and a window tint violation.
• A juvenile boy was charged Friday with theft by taking a motor vehicle, driving without a license and being an unruly child.
• Frankie Laverne Hill, 36, of 417 Sixth St. N.W., was charged Friday with disorderly conduct (second offense).
• Jason Barrett, 20, of 196 Green St., was charged Saturday with disorderly conduct and illegal possession of alcohol.
• Robert Lee Buie, 45, of 820 First St. N.W., was charged Saturday with trespassing, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and duty to obey an officer.
• Jerry Lee Powell Jr., 27, of 502 Fifth Ave. N.W., was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
• Ricky Bernard Palmore, 41, of 300 Ninth St. S.W., was charged Saturday with theft by shoplifting (third offense) and an open container violation.
• Varshikka Serrell Collier, 28, of 1954 Sylvester Highway, Lot 41, was charged Saturday with theft by shoplifting.
• Edward Junior French II, 28, of 1312 W. Central Ave., was charged Saturday with DUI, duty to obey an officer and a noise violation.
• Jessica Lynn Presley, 19, of 1806 Faison Road in Hartsfield, was charged Saturday with theft by taking.
• Victor Rendon Samora, 25, of 2820 First Ave. S.E., Lot 5, was charged Sunday with duty to obey an officer and resisting arrest.
• Milton David Barfield, 35, of 1330 Highway 319 N., Lot 5, was charged Sunday with driving with a suspended license (second offense).
• Jeffery Tyrone Butler, 52, of 604 Sumner Road, was charged Sunday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, duty to obey an officer and probation violation.
• Jerry Tomar Lewis, 26, of 271 Lakeview Acres Road, was charged Sunday with duty to obey an officer.
• Robert Tyler Bryan, 20, of 1800 Pine Circle Road, was charged Monday with giving false information to police, trespassing and public indecency.
• Samantha Denise Connell, 17, of 1306 Highway 133 S., was charged Monday with trespassing and public indecency.

• Kenny Lee Griffin, 55, of 710 Seventh Ave. S.W., was charged Thursday with criminal attempt to possess cocaine and probation violation.
• Betty Sue Griffin, 45, of 5709 Highway 319 N., was charged Thursday with criminal attempt to possess cocaine and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
• Antonio Gonzales Jimenez, 28, of Hall Road, Lot 6, was charged Thursday with criminal attempt to possess cocaine and giving false information to police.
• Adrin Sherrod McBride, 20, of 729 Eighth St. S.E., was charged Thursday with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while trying to commit a crime and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
• Matthew Thomas Peretti, 20, of 991 Sam Rentz Road in Norman Park, was charged Wednesday with burglary.
• Luciano Laro, 27, of 131 Walker St. in Omega, was charged Sunday with an open container violation.

• Christopher John Monkaitis, 22, of 608 W. Lafayette St., Apt. 6, in Tallahassee, Fla., was charged Friday with DUI, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and speeding.
• Bobby Feagin, 29, of 1529 W.B. Parks Road in Omega, was charged Sunday with DUI and speeding.

• Jonathan Villasenor Navarrete, 18, of 209 Dorothy St., was charged Saturday with driving without a license and speeding.

• Sharon Nichols reported someone dented the passenger door of her Chevrolet Corvette while it was parked at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on South Main Street Friday. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
• Marie Clark reported a thief stole her Ford Thunderbird while it was parked in her mother’s backyard on Second Street Southwest between April 7 and 3 p.m. Thursday.
• Traunshaey Huckaby reported someone kicked a passenger door of her Nissan Altima, leaving a dent, while it was parked on Joe Louis Avenue Friday. Damage was estimated at $250. Huckaby gave officers the name of a male suspect.
• Jonathan Singletary reported a thief stole a Pioneer CD player faceplate from his vehicle while he was at the Chevron on North Veterans Parkway Saturday. The value of the stolen faceplate was $189.
• Debra Thornton, of 10th Street Southeast, reported someone shot a window with a BB gun Saturday. Damage was estimated at $100.
• A Moultrie woman reported a male acquaintance attempted to rape her at a house on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Sunday.
• Kenyato Williams, of Elliot Brown Street, reported someone broke out a bedroom window and a kitchen window between 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. Damage was $300.
• An attendant at Riverbend Top Fuel on Camilla Highway reported a thief pumped $35 in gasoline Sunday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a tan Ford pickup truck, but officers were not given further information.
• Jan Norris, of Tallokas Road, reported a thief stole a four-karat aquamarine ring, a gold watch, a gold pendant, an opal cluster ring, a ring, a diamond wedding band, a strand of pearls and a pair of diamond earrings Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $17,900.
• Regina Cash reported a thief cut the driver’s side tires of her Oldsmobile Alero while it was parked at Wal-Mart on South Veterans Parkway, pried open the doors and stole a Sony stereo system between 9 a.m. and 10:23 p.m. Sunday. Damage and the value of the stolen stereo was $1,200. Cash gave officers the names of three make suspects.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Tammy Barnes, of Sleepy Bear Road in Norman Park, reported a thief stole several sheets of aluminum siding between April 6 and 5:45 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen siding was $500.
• Attemi Rojas, of Ennis Weathers Road, reported a thief stole a CD player from his Ford Explorer between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen CD player was $100.
• Billy Cordero, of Dogwood Drive, reported Friday someone found and used his debit card. The amount used on the card was $226.
