Quality Employment now 4-0 in Pony League

MOULTRIE — Vann Pitts had three hits, including a home run to lead Quality Employment to a 9-4 victory over Ameris in Thursday’s Pony League action at the Magnolia Complex.

Austin Dykes got the win for Quality Employment, which remains unbeaten at 4-0.

Ameris falls to 3-1.

In Thursday’s other Pony League game, Southwest Georgia Bank pounded Clements Pools 13-4.

Blake Bennett was the winning pitcher and Meagan May went 3-for-3 for 2-2 Southwest Georgia Bank, which also got two hits from Cody Carr, Tyler Yost, Devin Smith and Peyton Childs.

Jim Harrison had two hits for Clements Pools, 1-3.

Mobley Plant remains unbeaten in Midget League play after defeating Southwest Georgia Insurance 10-0 on Thursday.

Austin Mercer was the winning pitcher after striking out nine Southwest Georgia Insurance batters.

Mercer also had two hits, including a home run. Preston Berry also had two hits for Mobley Plant, now 2-0-2.

In Thursday’s other Midget League game, Quality Employment won a high-scoring game over Market Barbecue 12-9.

Kyle Ashley was the winning pitcher and had three hits.

Clayton Brown also had three hits, including a pair of home runs, and Garrett May and Hudson May each chipped in two hits for Quality Employment, which raised its record to 3-1.

In Farm League play, Lazarus raised its record to 4-0 with a 12-5 victory over Farm Bureau.

Kevin Hall had three hits and Chason Fannin, Codi Noble and Zane Hogan each had two for Lazarus.

Tyler Spires, Lane Goodroe and Garron Norman each had two hits for Farm Bureau, 1-3.

In Thursday’s other Farm League game, Random Design rolled past Zaxby’s 12-2.

Austin McCord had three hits and Jacob Coots, Devin Flinchum, Tristan Wells, Griffin Simmons, Arden Hall and Colby Camp each ahd two for Random Design, now 3-1.

Hayden Bledsoe and Tyler Summerlin each had two hits for Zaxby’s, now 0-4.

In Tiny Mites play on Thursday, Larry’s Bait and Tackle defeated Mobley Plant 10-8, and Quality Employment won over Baell Mercantile 10-6.
