Walker leads Ameris Pony victory

MOULTRIE — Tyroni Walker had two home runs among his three hits to lead Ameris to a 21-4 Pony League victory over Edwards Motors on Tuesday at the Magnolia Sports Complex.
Skyler Lindsey and Andrew Carlton also had three hits and Daryl Williamson, Matt Gerald, Blake Seagers and Ty Edgar each had two for Ameris, which raised its record to 3-0.
Andrew Carlton was the winning pitcher. Andrew Eunice also threw for Ameris.
Edwards Motors falls to 0-3.
Bryce Giddens had four hits and was the winning pitcher as VFW defeated Clements Pools 18-6 in Tuesday’s other Pony League game.
Jimmy Skeen contributed three hits and Corey Moore and Tyler Snipes each had two for VFW, which evened its record at 2-2.
Roy Fuentes had a big night for Clements Pools, getting three hits including a grand slam.
In Tuesday’s Midget League play, Mobley Plant and Harper-McCall battled to a 4-4 tie. It was the second tie of the season for Mobley Plant, which played to a 5-5 deadlock with Southwest Georgia Bank on March 24.
Mack Hathcock went four innings on the mound and John Gray pitched the final two for Harper-McCall. Preston Berry threw all six innings for Mobley Plant.
Gray had three hits, including a home run, and Jacob Flinchum had two hits for Harper-McCall, now 2-0-1. Mobley Plant is 1-0-2.
In Tuesday’s other Midget League game, Ameris pounded Market Barbecue 13-6.
Daniel Mobley was the winning pitcher and had two hits. Jay Tolbert had three hits and Taylor Horne added two for Ameris, now 3-0. Ryan Wallace had two for Market Barbecue, now 0-3.
In Tuesday’s Tiny Mite games, MPrints defeated Larry’s Bait and Tackle 13-1, and Mobley Plant won over Stone’s 12-8.
Lazarus and McAlpin Signs both raised their Farm League records to 3-0 with Tuesday night victories.
Kevin Hall had three hits and Chase Fannin and Houston Massey had two each to lead Lazarus to a 9-6 victory over Custom Cabinets.
Joseph Gould, Jared Soyke and Clayton Brooks each had wo hits for Custom Cabinets, now 2-1.
Aaron Johnson had three hits and Geoffrey Zeigler, Wesley Singletary, Noah Moore and Austin Singletary each had two in McAlpin Signs 11-2 victory over Zaxby’s.
Trenton Hall, Hayden Bledsoe and Cole Nix each had a pair of base hits for Zaxby’s, now 0-3.
Also on Tuesday in Farm League, Rocky’s defeated Southwest Georgia Bank 10-3.
Morgan Hart had three hits and Tyler Pifer, Kodi Bishop, Landon Price and Gavin Phillips each had two for Rocky’s, now 3-1.
Wheeler Hunnicutt had two hits for Southwest Georgia Bank, now 1-3.
In Tuesday’s fourth Farm League game, Ameris defeated Farm Bureau 9-5.
Nicholas Tucker and Michael Benton each had two hits for Ameris. Thomas James had three hits and Lane Goodroe and Jamie Hurst each had two for Farm Bureau, now 1-2.
