Soccer, tennis teams return to action

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County tennis teams will be back on the courts today after taking the week of Spring Break off and the soccer teams also will play after their Saturday games were rained out.
The tennis teams have not played since March 27 when they were swept at home by Tift County.
The Packers and Lady Packers will go on the road today to face Coffee.
Colquitt’s girls need to defeat the Lady Trojans today and Houston County on Friday to clinch the region championship.
The Lady Packers, 12-2 overall and 9-1 in the region, defeated both of those teams by 5-0 scorers already this season.
The Colquitt boys tennis team will try to improve on its 6-8 overall and 3-7 region record.
The Colquitt County soccer teams will travel to Valdosta today.
The Colquitt County boys soccer team remains 7-6 overall and 5-3 in the region after Saturday’s matches against Warner Robins were postponed. The Packers beat Valdosta 2-1 at home on March 18.
The Lady Packers are 5-8 overall and 2-6 in the region.
