Track teams compete in Cairo Relays

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County girls and boys track teams competed in the Cairo Relays on Saturday.
The girls 4×100 relay team of Tiny Palmore, Sarah Strong, Venisha Hadley an Umeika Henry was sixth.
Palmore was fifth in the 100 meters with a 13.1. In the triple jump, she had a personal best 29 feet, seven inches.
Shetivia Sims also entered the triple jump and had jump of 28 feet, 10 inches.
Shay Frazier was fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:55.
In the discus, Bria Wallace was fourth with a toss of 77 feet, 4 inches. Persephone Taylor was fifth at 63 feet, 6 inches.
Travon Littleto placed third in the boys 100 meters with a 10.95. James Taylor was fifth with an 11.09.
Alonzo Osby was fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:16.
In the mile, Jonathan Cauthen was fifth with a 5:25.
Colquitt County will compete on Saturday in the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Thomas County Central.
