Colquitt soccer teams sweep Coffee

MOULTRIE — D.J. Vanzant scored a goal with 30 seconds left in overtime togive the Colquitt County boys soccer team a 2-1 victory over Coffee in their Region 1-AAAAA opener on Wednesday in Douglas.
Hudson Wrenn got the assist on the game-winner.
Daniel Garcia scored the Packers other goal in the first half. Spencer Claytongot the assist.
The victory raises the Packers overall record to 2-3.
The Colquitt County girls won the evening’s first game, defeating the Lady Trojans 4-2.
The Lady Packers are now 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the region.
Colquitt County will travel to Warner Robins on Friday and will play host to Westover at home on Saturday, with the girls game starting at 11 a.m.
